Fridge Staples Cover Image Final_01-01-2021.jpg

These all the regular items you will find in my fridge that I use daily. Like everything else, I usually buy everything I can at Trader Joe’s except for some produce. They wrap a lot of their produce in plastic, so I get those at the Farmer’s Market or another store with local, unwrapped produce. This list is everything not included on the My Favorite Trader Joe’s Items blog post. A lot of my other fridge staples are on that list and I didn’t want to have them in two places. Please see that post here for other items I love.

Beverages:

1.      Purified water Jug- This is actually on my countertop with a ceramic holder and a 5-gallon jug of water. I like the Primo brand because they take local water and run it through a nine-step filtration process to give you perfect local water for under $1.50 for 5 -gallons.  I always use ConcenTrace Mineral drops in my purified water, to add back in the good minerals you need. Since using the drops, my hair, skin, and nails are in great shape.

2.      Cold-Brewed Iced Tea- I add a little maple syrup to sweeten it up a bit. I am not a big coffee drinker and prefer the taste of tea.

3.      Trader Joe’s Orange Peach Mango Juice- I like using this juice in my morning green smoothies sometimes because they are a great combo. This also works great with mimosas.

4.      Coconut Water- I use this in my smoothies instead of OJ usually and like to drink a glass after a good workout. It helps replenish your body after sweating for a long period of time. I’m obsessed with young coconut water even though it costs more, it’s totally worth it.

Condiments:

1.      Organic Ketchup- I always look for the no sugar/salt brands.

2.      Vegan Mayo- I love Vegenaise brand.

17.   Organic Vegan Worcestershire sauce-I like Annie’s. Regular WS has anchovies in it, but Annie’s tastes just like the real thing.

18.   Liquid Smoke- Wright’s Brand is vegan and amazing. It makes killer baked beans with the Worcestershire sauce.

19.   Tamari- Gluten-Free Soy Sauce

20.   Hawaiian Spirulina- Make sure it is Hawaiian and I love the brand Nutrex. There are a lot of health benefits which I will talk about on my Vitamins and Supplements blog. It needs to be refrigerated after it’s opened so I just keep that and the Barley Grass Juice Powder in there.

21.   Barley Grass Juice Powder- I like Pure Synergy brand and will talk about the benefits of BGJP in the V&S blog post.

Misc. Items:

1.      Tofu- I almost always have Firm/Extra Frim Tofu in the fridge. TJ’s baked tofu is great on the fly for a quick meal too. I prefer the teriyaki to the sriracha flavor, but they are both good.

2.      Tofurky Deli Slices- I usually have the Tofurky Hickory Smoked Slices because it’s what they sell at TJ’s, but their peppered turkey is heaven on Earth.

3.      Sauerkraut-I love Cleveland Kraut’s Whiskey Dill Kraut is my favorite and I always have it in the fridge. Its great for your gut, so find a brand you like, your stomach will thank you.

5.      Edamame- TJ’s has steamed and shelled edamame in the produce area that make for a great addition or snack in seconds.
