TJ’s Placemats and Linen Napkins
I wouldn’t normally do a blog post about something like this, but I can’t get enough of Trader Joe’s new Washable Paper Placemats and Vintage Washed 100% Linen Napkins. These are a limited buy so I am not sure how long they will be available to buy. That is part of the reason I decided to do this post, I want everyone to know about these.
TJ’s has started this trend of making household items using what they call, “Supernatural Paper” which is cellulose and latex. Because of this, you can actually wash and reuse these items over and over. Last year they made a lunch box out of the material and I got one for my paddle boarding and kayaking trips. I hate taking my regular lunch box in case it gets wet. Now I won’t ruin my daily lunch box with smelly lake/river/ocean water. They currently have the item listed as discontinued in the system, but hopefully they will come back one day. That has been known to happen. You can buy a reusable shopping bag that looks like their regular paper bags that is made from the super paper and it is incredibly sturdy.
The supernatural paper item I am so excited about today is their beautifully created placemats. There are six different colors and they come in a pack of four. They are a nice, large size which is great for entertaining or like I am going to use them, as props for my blog images. They are classic, simple, and the perfect addition to any dining table.
The Vintage Washed 100% Lined Napkins are also a great new item that is perfect for summer entertaining. They come in three different colors and with four napkins each. These handcrafted napkins apparently get softer and softer with each wash. I love the color choices and they pair well with the placemats.
These items would make a great housewarming gift or treat for yourself. Remember, they won’t last long and who knows if they will be back next year. We know how TJ’s is. 😊
Each set retails for $9.99 plus tax. They are totally worth the money, and they will last you awhile. Let me know in the comments below if you bought either of these and what you thought of them.
